Brooklyn Botanic Garden in Winter

Brooklyn, NY—Autumn has arrived in New York City, ushering in blustery winds, crisp skies, and shortened days. While cooler temperatures send many New Yorkers running for cover, Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) celebrates fall’s advance with FREE weekday admission and seasonal guided tours.

Exposure to sunlight, even on cloudy days, sustains energy, alertness, and contentment, all of which tend to wane in the winter months. BBG invites visitors to Chase Away the Winter Blues with outdoor monthly Garden tours, led by licensed psychotherapist and veteran BBG tour guide, Lynne Spevack. Enveloped by the Garden’s festive fall colors, visitors will learn how and why organisms respond to the changing seasons, and how to keep the blues at bay through the frosty days ahead. As fall turns to winter, and rain turns to snow and sleet, BBG will remain a cheery retreat until spring blooms again!
